PRIVACY NOTICE
How we look after your details.
When you reserve a maker spot or ask us a question, you hand us a few personal details. This page says what they are, why we ask for them, where they are kept and how to have them changed or removed. It is written under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), in plain language.
Last updated 2 September 2026.
1. Who is responsible for your information
C-Suite, trading as Storee, is the responsible party under POPIA. That means we decide what is collected on this site and what happens to it afterwards. You can reach us at hello@storee.co.za.
2. What we collect
Only what you type into the two forms on this site, plus the moment you sent it:
- Your name, contact number and email address, from the sign-up form.
- The items you told us you make, from the sign-up form.
- Your name, email address and the question you asked, from the question box on the FAQ page.
- The date and time of each submission, and which of the two forms it came from.
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts, so we collect nothing about how you browse it.
3. Why we collect it
Two reasons, and only these two:
- To contact you about becoming a maker on Storee when it opens, including sending you the maker application link.
- To answer the question you asked us.
We do not use your details for anything else, we do not sell them, and we do not add you to any other mailing list.
4. Our lawful basis
We process your details on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form before you send it. Without that box ticked, the form does not go through and nothing is stored. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8), and we stop using your details from that point.
5. Where it is stored
Your details are stored in a Postgres database run by Neon, in their London (AWS eu-west-2) region, and the site itself runs on Vercel. Both act as operators on our behalf under POPIA: they host the data for us, are bound by their own data-protection terms, and do not use it for their own purposes. Because those servers are outside South Africa, your details are transferred abroad to be stored. POPIA allows this where the recipient is bound by protections of that kind, and we say so here so that you know.
6. Who we share it with
Nobody beyond those two hosting providers. The people who run Storee read the list directly to contact you and to reply to your question. We do not share your details with other makers, advertisers or any other third party.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your details until we have sent out the maker onboarding invitation, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. When Storee opens, we will either delete this list or move your details into Storee’s own vendor onboarding records, and we will tell you by email before we do either.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask us, at any time, to:
- tell you what details we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your details entirely;
- stop using them, by withdrawing the consent you gave on the form.
Email hello@storee.co.za from the address you signed up with and say what you would like done. A person handles every request by hand, and we aim to reply within 30 days.
One thing to know: the first sign-up we receive for an email address is the one we keep, so sending the form again with the same email does not change your details. Email us instead and we will update them for you.
9. Information Officer and complaints
Storee’s Information Officer registration with the Information Regulator is pending. Until it is complete, privacy questions and requests go to hello@storee.co.za and reach the person responsible for this list.
If you believe we have not handled your details properly and we have not put it right, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
10. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice in a way that matters to you, we will email everyone on the list before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
